In a contemporary business context of increasing complexity, effective project management
represents an increasingly vital tool for ensuring effective business management to help businesses
remain profitable and competitive. This module aims to develop students’ practical competencies in
the field of project management to an extent that would allow successful graduates to perform in a
project management role within an organisation. As such, the module not only ensures that students
have an extensive understanding of all aspects that need to be considered in project management,
but also develops their ability to perform the tasks associated with each step in the project life cycle.
